Ethics of Behavioral Biometrics

Storing and using personal biometrics is ethical because with the users consent it is what the user wants. The user also has a choice to either use it or to avoid it and not allow things such as finger print access or face recognition on your mobile device. If the data is not being passed around and is kept safe then I believe it is ethical for them to store it.

I think it is ethical to provide the government with user biometrics to assist with national security because they are looking for criminals and people that cause harm to others. Causing harm and criminal activity is illegal and people shouldn’t be doing it in the first place and if you’re not then you have nothing to be afraid of. The biometrics they use is not to catch you on every wrong action but to keep people safe from terrible people.
