Microtransactions

I believe it can be ethical to implement microtransactions into video games. How else would that game make their money? Even tho the game might be free to attract more users, they can still offer sales within the game. Microtransactions can be a powerful way to customize your gameplay experience. Some say that this is bad because it is emptying their bank accounts from their kids purchases or even themselves. You must take responsibility in what you buy rather than complaining about your money disappearing.

An ethical microtransaction system should not lock any part of the game behind a pay wall. Gamer’s should be able to experience the whole game without needing to pay extra. I do think that you should be able to buy extra things within the game to experience a customizable gameplay. You should not be able to pay for more power in the game, otherwise that would make the game much more unfair and change my opinion in microtransactions.

I don’t think microtransactions should be regulated. The company who made the game should regulate themselves because only they know what they are building and for who. They should allow them to experience the game in a more customizable way rather than not taking advantage of the people playing.
