REGISTER YOUR INTEREST IN UGS SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Undoubtedly, Ukraine has great talents! Each year, Ukrainian students join world leading schools and demonstrate high-level performance there. Having unique experience abroad, these young people can make a big difference in Ukraine. Unfortunately, due to limited opportunities for those talented graduates in Ukraine, they tend to choose financial safety and career opportunities abroad over uncertainty in Ukraine and this causes brain drain. Kyiv Hub of Global Shapers is willing to change it.

“The goal of our initiative is to offer competitive opportunities for professional growth and development and retain skillful Ukrainian students after graduation from schools and universities abroad.”

Ukraine Global Scholars

For our project to reduce brain drain in Ukraine, Global Shapers Kyiv Hub is partnering with Ukraine Global Scholars (UGS) to support their Summer Internship Program.

UGS is a public charity raising a new generation of Ukrainian leaders. Since 2015, UGS has helped 62 Ukrainian high school students receive $18M+ (eighteen million US dollars) in scholarships. UGS’s Scholars are currently enrolled at top schools including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, NYU Abu Dhabi, Columbia University, Yale University, Dartmouth College, the Taft School, Deerfield Academy, the Lawrenceville School, Phillips Andover Academy, Choate Rosemary Hall, etc.

Ukraine Global Scholars changes young talents’ lives by offering financial and administrative support.

“It also makes a bigger impact by requiring those students to return to Ukraine after graduation and take a full-time position in Ukraine-based businesses/organizations for at least five years.”

To comply with these requirements, all admitted UGS Scholars complete summer internships in Ukraine, leveraging their education and already becoming a part of a community of Ukrainian leaders.
