This year was beyond exciting and brought so much to the table for all the crypto community, Guarda Wallet included! Let’s unpack some of the new services and updates implemented by Guarda in 2021…
More for NFTs support
NFT has been a booming industry that rose from $40M in 2018 to $2,5B in Q2 2021 alone, which is mindblowing. To keep up with the zeitgeist, Guarda has expanded its support for Ethereum-based NFTs, now supporting ERC721 and ERC1155 standards for non-fungible tokens. These standards cover all prominent marketplaces where you can trade Ethereum-based NFTs. Besides, Guarda has upgraded its interface, making it easier to showcase the collection with watch-only wallets and connecting to marketplaces with Wallet Connect:
Crypto loans right in your wallet
You can now borrow USDT (on ERC20 and TRC20), as well as USDC, right in your Guarda Wallet. No credit checks, full anonymousness, unlimited term you regulate yourself, fast approval, low APR of 14%! Besides, the extensive list of currencies is supported for collaterals, such as:

Staking feast
2021 was a year Guarda Wallet has massively expanded its staking opportunities.
The most significant development has to be implementation of Ontology staking on web and dekstop versions. With a custom candidate node, Guarda is able to deliver the APY in between 30 and 40% in staking rewards, depending on a validator load. No wonder ONT staking quickly became one of the fan favorites!
Besides, Guarda expanded its Cardano staking opportunities by launching its own ADA node with 5% APY in rewards and fees as low as 2,5%. As we directly control our nodes’ performance, you now have opportunity to stake Cardano right where you hold, without the necessity to delegate your coins to third-party validators.
Last but not the least, Guarda has expanded its partnership with Zilliqa by implementing ZIL staking with ~14% APY. You can currently enjoy this option on web and desktop.
Currently, Guarda is running 7 validators for various prominent cryptos with 100% uptime, and we’re definitely not stopping at that! The latest update is the launch of Guarda’s own Kusama node, which will be fully available for staking in-wallet as soon as the asset is going to be supported in early 2022. So, you’re going to have a full Kusama package on Guarda, including staking, as soon as it happens!
New assets support
In terms of the available assets expansion, Guarda is proud to inform we are now fully support Hedera Hashgraph on all platforms, including HBAR purchase and exchange.
Moreover, Guarda Wallet is now supporting Hedera Token Service standard, so that now you’re able to store and even build your own tokens on Hedera. Decentralized, eco-friendly and fast, HBAR is a reliable and perspective alternative to start your own crypto project without overpaying for Ethereum gas fees.
Doubling down on increasing the amount of supported token standards, Guarda Wallet can be now used to store, send and receive XRC20 tokens based on XinFin on all platforms, including mobile wallet.
As a hybrid next generation blockchain, XinFin, also known as XDC Network, has greatly risen in prominence in 2021, and we are looking forward for more projects to embark on together!
Especially exciting and long-awaited development of 2021 was support for Binance Smart Chain. This network has risen to be a viable alternative to Ethereum due to its transaction speed and low fees, hosting hundreds of assets you can now store, send and receive on Guarda Wallet. Currently, BSC is available on web and desktop Guarda.
Another interesting asset supported in 2021 was Bitcoin Vault. The defining trait of this coin is a time lag of 24 hours before transaction confirmation, making it possible to halt the transaction in case you’re suspecting a fraud and protect your funds. You can send, receive and store BTCV on all platforms.
Guarda Token is live!
Finally, we have launched our own Guarda Token! Initially built on ERC20, it will also be supported on BEP2 standard, and soon enough, you’ll be available to stake GRD on Guarda Wallet! Use your Guarda Token to receive discounts on various in-wallet services, get cashback and many other perks for holders.
You can get Guarda Token as a referral reward, or join Guarda’s newly launched ambassador program and get regular payouts in GRD in accordance with your tier. You can also swap Ethereum for GRD on Uniswap.
Purchase and exchange support expansion
With the help of our partners, you can now purchase more than 100 cryptocurrencies with your bank card directly in Guarda Wallet. What’s more, about 100 fiat currencies are now supported overall to make the process even more convenient!
Moreover, a whole plate of various crypto coins and tokens, big and small, has been supported for exchange. You can now obtain lots of rare assets with much more ease by swapping crypto for them right in your wallet!
