The internship experience at guch

Ligang Tony & Arun George worked with guch as part of their final year internship. They are students of the St. Joseph's College in Bangalore and are doing a Bachelors Degree in Film Making.

We’ve had tremendous success having interns work with us and I guess the only reason for that is because we don’t treat them as interns. We treat them just the way we treat anyone else who is full time with us. They are given full ownership and are directly asked to work on projects.

Most of the interns we’ve worked have become best friends and long term associates. Kamalesh who interned with us in 2016 has been part of multiple projects with us.

The below is what Arun had to write about the recent internship

“Working at guch was indeed a great learning experience and it was their passion, commitment and willingness to take any challenge in pursuit of their goals, which made it even more special.

Each team member has a willingness to respect or accept opinions different from one’s own and it is this quality that helps them create great video content.

Being a small part of their project made me realise the importance of teamwork and the amount of dedication one should put into creating something great.

They are not contained to conventional ideas and come out of their comfort zone in order to achieve something. Every process I was a part of was immensely enjoyable and that makes guch an amazing place to work in.

Indeed, the prospect of being the most rebellious and unique video content creators for startups comes with a glaring vision. This vision puts the believers into the fray, unleashing their creativity and passion towards our work.

Our interns can get first hand experience working on various projects, participating in the entire video production cycle (concept, production, editing).

What work will interns do?

Concept Stage: Working with our content team, this will include idealising, scripting and art direction required for the project. Interns will learn the process of how a video will turn out, and also learn the unique niche video formats we follow as well as adhering to client needs and expectations.

Production: Working with our talented cinematography team, the core techniques of filming, lighting, lenses, camera angles and more will be learnt. Working with different kinds of clients in various environments to achieve the highest quality output.

Arun playing a character! Though Arun spent only 2 weeks, he contributed in the Pre-Production and Production process. He was of immense help in Art Direction as well.

Post Production: Fine tuning and polishing before releasing the final product is critical in any video production company. Alongside our editors, animators and sound engineers, candidates will learn the secrets to making awesome videos for niche audiences.

We’ve enjoyed having Tony & Arun with us as much as they enjoyed working on our projects. We wish them all the very best! They are both going to be pursuing Masters Degrees in NYC / SFO. We’d love to collaborate with them!
