You’ve set your splash pages exactly how you want them and your users are happily signing in and using the WiFi. But what do you do when you get users complaining about having to sign into the splash page again too soon after the first?

Well the best thing to do is to check whether these complaints are accurate, and then find out what is causing this. Luckily you can do both of these easily at the same time.

Find out the MAC address of the device they’re using, then head into the Audit section of your dashboard.

Once there, you can filter by location and search for the matching MAC address.

Once you’ve found it, just hover over the duration of the session and you will be shown the session end reason.

Here you will be able to see whether the session end was due to a timeout that you’ve configured, or an action from the client’s device, and can respond accordingly.
