Working in a Diverse and Global Enterprise Design Team

Design flourishes when everyone feels confident in bringing their diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences into the conversation.

At Guidewire, we’ve built a product design team that leverages insights and thoughts from a myriad of different stakeholders to create the future of P&C insurance cloud applications.

Our team is composed of individuals from all walks of life. I made the leap from a business school background into the world of software development. We have an instructional designer who started out in finance and marketing, product managers who used to be agents or underwriters, and the list goes on. We all have so much to learn from each other, and one of the great rewards of my job is working with others to figure out how we can create valuable solutions for our customers with this joint wisdom.
