Note: for a more in-depth look into Guilded’s new features and updates, we’ve written up more info here.

A year ago, we launched Guilded to help players organize their gaming teams. At the time, teams would use a combination of Google Calendar, Google Docs, custom bulletin boards, and clunky website builders, but none of them worked very well. They were even worse when used together. The growth of esports seemed inevitable, but somehow the fundamental entity around which esports revolves — the team — had no home.

Guilded was made to solve this. After hacking together the first prototype with some design help from a friend, we shared the first version of Guilded on reddit. Within months, what started as a passion project shared with /r/wow became home to thousands of teams, who we’ve been working closely with ever since.

Today, I’m excited to share our biggest update since then: the new Guilded, which has been redesigned from the ground-up to incorporate the most popular suggestions and feature requests that we’ve gotten over the last year. It brings modern and fully-featured forums, calendars, docs, media albums, streams, analytics, and recruiting tools to all teams.

With the best tools come the best teams, so I’m also excited to share that Guilded is the first of its kind to be used by the world’s greatest professional teams. Team Liquid, Cloud9, the New York Excelsior, KSV eSports, LGD Gaming, the Golden Guardians, and Team WE are among the professional esports teams using Guilded today. For fans, we’ve introduced the ability to follow your favorite teams, giving you a single place to stay up-to-date with their announcements, schedules, matches, and streams.

The new Guilded is officially available today, at www.guilded.gg. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone’s support and feedback, and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to build cool stuff for all of you. If you’d like to learn more, we’ve written up a more detailed post here — we’d love to hear what you think.
