Designing a house-service booking app

The Story

A couple of guys I knew from university approached me on a lazy weekend. They must have heard that I can design (sort of) and know a thing or two about mobile applications. At that time, I was doing a lot of graphical design work but I was only testing the waters when it came to UI design. Well, since I was not doing anything better, and I really wanted to try designing a mobile application, and they also promised a big chunk of equity if their startup ever took off (guilty of greed).

The Task

I was proposed with an idea of designing a house-keeper booking application, and that was it. It very-well might be an issue people were facing in Dubai at that time, which I was unaware of (I never hired a maid).

So I was tasked to create a service design (how the service will actually work); logo & branding material (landing page, brochures and posters); and then finally the design of mobile application, both user and vendor side.

The final design (although crude) at the time, contained the essentials including login, search, listing, details, booking-screen, past-bookings; and vendor side created a booking management.
