Signing Up For GUStakes Tournaments & Playing Out Matches
Step 1 — Find your player ID
You can get your Gods Unchained player ID via two different methods.
Method 1: Search up your profile on GUDecks.com
Look up GUDecks.com on your favorite browser and navigate to the top right of the page and select Meta. Then in the middle select Player Stats and search your username in the search bar. Click on your username and your ID will show up under your account name.
Method 2: Log into Apollo.gg with your Gods Unchained email account
Use the email account that you signed up with on Gods Unchained to log into apollo.gg. Your Id should be the numeric numbers displayed below your account name.
Step 2— Signing up/Login in
In order to use GUStakes you must have your wallet address whitelisted within the smart contract suite that the platform is integrated with. The whitelisting process only takes place the first time you sign up. To sign up you must follow this process
Click on “Connect” at the top right of the GUStakes landing page and connect your Metamask wallet.
***Note this must be the same wallet address that you use for your Gods Unchained account***
When you have successfully signed the transaction the button “Enter App” will appear at the top right of the screen; Click it. Paste your GU ID in the field and select your network that you are connecting to.
GUStakes supports 4 side chains: Gnosis (formerly xDai), Polygon (Matic), Fantom (FTM), UBIQ
If you don’t have any of the supported networks on your Metamask that GUStakes supports you can easily add the network by visiting chainlist.org. Connect your wallet to the site and search the desired network in the search bar and click the “add to Metamask” button.
If you have selected the proper network click “GO!” and let the whitelisting process initiate. This step takes roughly 30–45 seconds, once it is successful a Metamask prompt will pop up to sign a transaction to log in to the dApp.
Step 3— Registering for a tournament
Once you see the main screen of GUStakes navigate to the bottom right hand of the screen and click on the “Tournaments” button in the bottom bar. Click on open tournaments and search the tournament you are looking to participate in.
Once you have located the tournament you want to participate in click on the “details” button and then click “enter”. If the tournament requires a paid entry you will be prompted with a Metamask transaction with the fee to enter.
Once you have entered the tournament, you must wait for the organizer to start it.
Step 4— Initiating Match with opponent
Once the matches have been initiated you can head to the “matches” tab in the details screen to start you match with your opponent. Copy your challenge code and paste it in the direct challenge mode in the Gods Unchained client. Your opponent is prompted with the same challenge code and notified in the GUStakes Discord to start match.
If the tournament requires more then one match to proceed to the next round keep challenging your opponent until you have acquired enough wins. Only the winner can proceed to the next match and that must be done by posting your win.
Once all the tournament matches have been played out the organizer must finalize the tournament to complete it.
Step 5 — Claiming on chain prizes
If there are any claimable rewards from the prize pool or props pools, those rewards can be claimed by accessing the “event claims” tab and clicking the “claim” button.
