Who said we got to agree?

I see the world in a certain way. You, in the other hand, see it differently.

And that’s ok.

Who said we got to agree?

I see a growing number of people arguing daily as if there were only one truth. As if only on point of view made sense.

What if more than one made sense?

Where did this pursuit of a unique and consensual point of view that we have all to agree upon came from? I believe there will never be a consensus.

And that’s the beauty of life. If we were all the same everything would be somewhat lame and boring.

I have been sharing my vision of the world, my thoughts and ideas. And people are writing back to me reinforcing that I’m not alone, as they share the same perspective I do, the same vision.

That’s rewarding. It makes me glad and gives me strength to keep on sharing my beliefs.

But, the more people support me, another amount criticize me. And I truly think that’s perfectly normal.

I confess I get a little upset when someone criticizes me trying to prove me wrong. But that’s for a moment’s notice. It soon goes away.

I understand that we don’t need all to agree with each other.

But for those not in accordance with what I say, I ask nothing but one thing: don’t try to prove me wrong. Don’t try to find weak spots in my arguments to disrupt my opinion.

There are, certainly, flaws. And I could, in fact, be wrong. But let me live calmly with my beliefs.

I’m not doing any harm to anyone by seeing the world the way I do, as I know you are not either.

In the end, we all seek the same thing. We want to live a good life in a fair, free and abundant world.

So, let me implement my ideas. There is no need to say it’ll all go down the drain before I even try it.

After all, what it means not to be successful? What it means being wrong?

There is no thing such as THE TRUTH. There is only that what you believe.

The human being is a rather complex creature. I’ve written it before. Each one of us is an entire universe, filled with millions of variables.

And our understanding is extremely limited to know what exactly goes through one’s mind and heart.

If I wear glasses with yellow lenses and you with red ones, it’s a fact I’ll see everything yellow and you, red. And there’s nothing I could do to see it yellow. In the end, who said the world must be yellow?

I like the world the way it is. Different. Full of people that are different. With differing points of view.

If everyone thought the same way, the world would be somewhat lame and boring.

Who said we got to agree?
