Many Greenville soccer fans have been on pins and needles awaiting the news of Greenville Triumph SC’s first batch of player signings. This past weekend the team held open tryouts on Saturday, followed by an invitation only tryout on Sunday.

Little did any of those players know as fought to impress head coach John Harkes, that the US soccer legend already had a signed agreement in place for his first player.

Yeah, THAT Soccer Show has exclusively learned today that back on August 27, the day that Harkes was announced as the inaugural head coach of Greenville Triumph SC, Harkes signed an agreement in principle for his “first signing.”

We were able to obtain a photo of said contract:

That’s right folks, Leithan “Lugnut” Allen was officially designated as the team’s first signing back in August. While his playing career for the Triumph may be several years away, no one will ever have any question as to who was the first signing for this team.

We here at Yeah, THAT Soccer Show hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday. We hope you enjoyed this lighthearted start to your Monday!
