Australia is severely getting affected by the change in the climate. The rate of greenhouse gas emission has been risen for the last few years, indicating a serious threat to human lives. This article shows how climate change will have an impact on the lives of people living in Australia.

Climate change is a reality today, and there is no way we can escape unless we take serious steps to prevent it. With the increase in the level of carbon in the air, global warming issues in Australia have a serious impact on the country.

In order to address and reduce the potential risks associated with climate changing, Australia needs to be prepared, taking a balanced approach for the better. The expected form of impact of climate change will affect different locations differently, be it temperature shifts, rainfall or storm.

To understand how climate change will have a significant impact on the way we live, here are some important facts that are worth knowing.

Infrastructure

Climate change alters the intensity and range of weather events; there is no doubt, it will have an impact on the building’s infrastructure. The altered shorelines and rising sea levels are already starting to change the infrastructure of buildings.

Coral Bleaching

The change in climate is adding to the increased level of acid in the seawater, causing corals serious death threats. The Great Barrier Reef is known as a world heritage asset, which is home to zillions of fish species, featuring a diversified ecosystem. With the acid level getting increased in the sea, many species are in great danger.

Agriculture

Australia is known to be affected by climate change in terms of reduced agricultural production and crop yield. Various reports and research studies have testified the fact. The production of crop and livestock is severely damaging due to the change in the temperature. The availability of food resources is being compromised in the rise of changing climate on a global level.

Water Shortage

Dry spells are common in several regions of the country today. Dryness is a result of the significant change in climate for the last few years. During droughts, there will be an issue of water, which will affect almost everything in Australia.

Health

Human health will be compromised as a result of climate change due to insufficient food, safe drinking water, clean air and shelter. The cases of malnutrition, heat stress, diarrhea will be reported increasingly. The stakes, in fact, are high.

Effective adaptation of measures to prevent global warming and its serious consequences should be achieved anyhow. That means we need to have a better understanding of how we take actions, be it in the field of agriculture or transport, or urban planning or industrial organization or water management.

The impact of global warming is noticeably huge and is not a subject to be sidelined. Australia must take robust measures against the adverse impact of climate change because if it is not now than never.
