Technology is great when you know what you want — not when you are confused or clueless.

Brexit broke my heart — not only the professional loss, the savings in banks but relationships- the most precious thing in the world — have been impacted.

Now my European friends walk down the streets with a strange air of distrust and insecurity. Their eyes express fear.

This is not the England I came to- I lived in Eu, USA , India but I picked this rainy island because say what you will, I felt their capacity for common sense was very high. Brexit broke that illusion into many pieces.

I feel an anguish but a lot of it is towards technology, how autobots pumped tweets to influence social media, how the polls were incorrect making the remain campaigners over confident by forecasting 85% ( a case of over-fitting according to data sciences ) but above all information middle men poisoning our access to reality. Google search in areas where even 70% voted to “Leave” surged after the Brexit — the search was “ What is Brexit”. This is ridiculous. The information existed, Google search existed- why did they not search before ?

Because of the way we have designed information retrieval systems — they are meant to be “narrow results” oriented, search oriented, “ you should know what you want” oriented.

What if you do not know ? Do we always know what we want ?

“What if you do not know ? Do we always know what we want ?”

Exploration engines and discovery engines like Twitter, QUORA, are bringing far more value in my opinion. They allow you to explore without closing off your minds- instead of telling people what is best to do — they empower them with better knowledge so better choices can be made.

For me — that is indeed the intuitive, organic side of true technology- where opinions are plastic, fluidic thoughts can maintain themselves, where one can flow from branch to another, isn’t that how good decisions are made?

Gyana as an AI platform, provides a filterless access to reality — businesses and consumers can both benefit from it by purely using it as a means to structure reality in their perception.

We are limiting ourselves by asking for a “list”. Ask for a visual buffet! Ask for what is possible. Make up your own mind. Ask for your right to information.

Don’t just search.

Explore.
