Gift of Water Competition
We are receiving a steady stream of entries for the Gift of Water Competition and below we share just two of the entries received so far. In case you missed last week’s update, H2O Securities wants to make a difference by donating its 1st proof of concept water treatment plant to a deserving community. We have completed all of our tests using the first Proof of Concept (POC), and although this model is very small, it could be the cornerstone for a number of units to serve a small village and community with potable water, utilizing the processes developed by H2O Securities.
The 1st POC can treat up to 10,000 liters of water per day and the treated water is safe for both drinking and other household needs for +-10–20 families.
This is an open invitation to any individual or corporate company that wishes to nominate a community in which our unit can be placed and form part of a larger initiative. We look forward to receiving your responses for this initiative. Click here to nominate your community.
- Zion Kindergarten
We are delighted to share with you ZION Kindergarten, situated in Lotus River on the Cape Flats. They provide valuable educational opportunities for young children in a poverty-stricken area and love to see how they help the kids with environmental activities. They have been purchasing bottled water to teach the importance of safe water and sanitation, as well as the importance of WASH. The treatment plant will help them greatly in this endeavour.
- Community in Emanseleni area near Sahlumbe, in the uThukela District Municipality
We received an amazing entry from a community located in the Emanseleni area of KZN, which is in desperate need of clean, potable water. This community is predominantly made up of pensioners and children, and is located in a beautiful yet remote area that is difficult to access. Unfortunately, there is no access to clean piped water.
The community relies on a borehole with a hand-operated-pump as well as a local river for their water supply. The process of gathering water is tedious and time consuming. Furthermore, the local water supply is not properly safe to drink, making it crucial to find or obtain a clean reliable water source in order to prevent avoidable illness and deaths. Sadly, basic sanitation and hygiene is also lacking in the area as a result.

Our total staking pools have crossed the 5,4M tokens staked mark.
Our long term staked tokens (1 Year & 2 Year Pools) continue to have APR rates above 66%, with the 2 Year Pool APR still sitting on 86% to be our most popular pools. The staked H2ON continues to represent more than 55% of total H2ON tokens in free circulation.
