GIFT OF WATER COMPETITION
We are blown away by the quality and quantity of entries that we have received for the Gift of Water Competition. Below we share another three entrants stories and will post more on our social channels.
There is still an open invitation to any individual or corporate company that wishes to nominate a community in which our unit can be placed and form part of a larger initiative. We look forward to receiving more responses for this initiative. Click here to nominate your community.
Water Gen
Delighted to share that we received a power packed entry from Water Gen in Australia. This water generation start-up has a goal to make clean, potable water accessible to people all over the world. Using their state-of-the-art technology they are targeting the 500 isolated communities in Australia who have poor quality of drinking water. They will be rewarding one of these deserving communities with the prize should they win.
Hands of Hope
Hands of Hope is a woman led organization acting for social cohesion and local development in Uganda. They run a WASH PROJECT as a way of providing clean ,safe and accessible water to schools in the Eastern region of Uganda. Approximately 7 million Ugandans lack access to safe water and 28 million do not have access to improved sanitation facilities. The seven million includes school-going students, and if Hands of Hope wins this competition, it will provide clean water to one of these many communities and schools.
3. The Akopha community in Ebonyi State, Nigeria
The Akopha community in Ebonyi State, Nigeria also submitted their entry for the Gift Of Water this past week. Regularly plagued by cholera, the community lacks access to clean, safe potable water and the issue results in many deaths each year. The water plant will be truly life changing and transform their community.

Our long term staked tokens (1 Year & 2 Year Pools) continue to have APR rates above 64%, with the 2 Year Pool APR still sitting on 84% to be our most popular pools. The staked H2ON continues to represent more than 55% of total H2ON tokens in free circulation.
