Week 1 Customer Discovery
To prepare for the first full week we are utilizing all of the great visitors to class to help find contacts and focus primarily on who the beneficiaries would be. Given that so many people last week talked about the importance of data sharing and the dearth of it occurring across agencies, we are going to focus on if the lack of communication is the bottleneck of the problem in the interdiction of illicit maritime craft.
Weekly Hypotheses:
- By sharing sensor data and resources, the lack of coverage can be solved
- Technology is not the biggest limiting factor
Experiment(s)
We will show them a copy of our MVP (a Google Maps screenshot with a few boats placed on it) and ask them to walk us through a typical routine when they spot a suspicious boat. We will ask them to highlight pain points, where they spend most of their time, and the greatest challenge facing them on a weekly and daily basis. After completing the interviews we will determine if our hypotheses have been confirmed or refuted.
