Edible flowers are no longer just a pretty garnish. They can be used to infuse cocktails, teas, and desserts, to name a few of the possibilities. The French, Austrians, and Central Europeans produce an extract from the elderflower blossom, which in turn can be made into a liqueur.

Elderflower French 75 is one of our favorite cocktails to make with it, and it’s as cool as the name sounds.

Makes 1 cocktail

Active Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • ½ ounce elderflower liqueur
  • 1/2 ounces lemon juice
  • 4 ounces prosecco, champagne, or sparkling wine
  • Lemon twist for garnish

Directions:
