Diana Ruiz-Olvera, M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Boston University & 2022 Fellow

My journey to Hack.Diversity has been years in the making. While working as a Bilingual Customer Support Specialist for a content marketing startup, I discovered I enjoy troubleshooting technical issues and learning new programming languages.Once I realized I wanted to pursue software development as a professional career, I decided to complete a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. I spent the last three years working and studying full-time acquiring the technical skills needed to become a developer, and my next step is to find the right team and project to put my talents to good use.

Hack.Diversity will be an invaluable experience that will have a lasting impact in my professional career.

I know working with a mentor, having access to the community, and taking advantage of the workshops and resources available will help me be prepared to seize the right opportunity when it comes along.
