Today’s intern spotlight, Ruchelly Almeida, shares how she pays it forward, her current dream job, and just how many times she’s watched Dirty Dancing.

- Paying it forward: Previously interned at Microsoft working with community organizers to inspire passion for technology in youth by exposing them to software and hands-on projects

Q: What sparked your interest in your major?
My love for math and problem solving!
Q: What do you hope to accomplish by the end of the Hack.Diversity program?
I hope to learn about what a career in the tech industry is really like. I want to learn new skills, receive advice, and to become a stronger student and professional.
Q: What’s your current dream job?
Being a software developer, so that I can build great things.
Q: How do you want to change the world? How do you want to change the tech scene?
I want to make technologies more accessible to everyone and to expose underrepresented youth and seniors to new technologies.
Q: Want to share a fun fact about yourself?
I watched Dirty Dancing approximately 20 times when I was a teenager!
