The audio-video industry the world over had changed in many ways since the end of the twentieth century when DVD-Jon cracked the encryption codes for DVDs and made it possible to rip the content off them.

Then came the various file-sharing networks (Kazaa, Grokestar, Blubstar, etc.) and the new kid on the block BitTorrent.

This gave rise to the current piracy of content which has made audio-visual media accessible to anyone with a smart device and an active internet connection.

Content pirates now rule; ripping off everyone who is supposed to make something out of the content creation value chain.

With the advent of blockchain technology, it has now become possible to use distributed ledger technology to make sure everyone gets paid within the framework of peer-to-peer information and data exchange.

AVXChange is the project to change the way everyone gains and also to reduce media piracy drastically.

What is AVXCHANGE?
