HK Tech & Startups JobFair

Many congratulations to Whub, Brinc.io and Garage Society for pulling together a big job fair event at PMQ last Wednesday. 30 startups and over 1000 participants attended the event. Our team had really good time catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones. Here are some photos of the event and again thanks to Whub for providing these nice snapshots of the day.

The majority of the companies who had attended the job fair were looking for technical talents, which wasn’t a surprise to us as the team has been speaking with numerous technology startups in Hong Kong to get advice on curriculum building and program enhancement for our 12-week full-time web development program over the past few months. We are glad to know that these companies are very supportive of Hack Pacific’s mission — to provide technical talents to the community and to empower innovative individuals to pursue the careers they want via programming training in Hong Kong.

Community Building

We thoroughly appreciate the importance of community building in the tech startup industry. As a school which focuses on programming education for adults, we feel that events which bring both technical/ non-technical people together and facilitate the exchange of ideas could be a good way to grow the community. We will be launching a series of free idea sharing gatherings starting from February. Check out Hack Pacific’s Facebook pageand stay tuned!
