Raspberry Pi Robot Navigation with ROS
We were contacted in late 2018 about a research group using ROS on the GoPiGo3 Raspberry Pi Robot. They published their source code on Github here.
ROS and the GoPiGo3
This repository explains the way to mount a low cost lidar sensor on GoPiGo3 and run the ROS navigation stack with it.
Motivations
Most robots that run ROS and a LIDAR sensor are exceedingly expensive, sometimes more than $1,000. The GoPiGo3 represents an opportunity for researchers and students to work with ROS on a low cost platform, that can cost less than $200 in total.
