This time please don’t make the same mistake

Remember when the Internet came?

Even before websites we had BBS’s — Bulletin Board Systems. Conceptually, they were not very different from what social networks have come to be more than 25 years later. They connected people and content over the Internet.

Back then it was just text and some very few static images.

Then websites and e-mail came. And everyone made a copy and paste of their paper brochure onto web pages and started overwriting infinite pages and letters in the new form of digital mail.

Even at this point, if I told you back then, than soon you would have managed most of your lives through one of these websites, to the extent to which you do now… you would have not believed me.

Then faster connections came and video came into the Internet. The availability of high bandwidth and exponential processing power, then made everything else possible.

More than this, the Internet has gone so deep into our lives, to be able to reshape the way we live and work and more than anything, the way we interact with each other. As we shaped the Internet around us, the Internet is now reshaping ourselves and our lives.

Internet is about to face one of the biggest disruptions in its history, if not the biggest. We are about to add an additional dimension to the Internet and the Internet is about to become the Metaverse. Adding a third dimension to the web will dramatically shift the paradigms of the usage of the Internet and of its system architecture. Things will evolve to the point of creating several parallel digital realities, which will be alternative to our real world. Virtual Reality.

Now, please don’t make the same the same mistake again and prepare to a world where what you only imagined before, can now turn into a digital simulation. A synthetic piece of reality, becoming more and more real as technology progresses.

Virtual Reality is not just a new technology. It’s an infrastructure to create new dimensions for our lives.

Believe it or not, conceptually, we are about to enter an era of multi dimensional existences and multiple personalities, made possible by the Internet itself. Remember the old question in the Matrix? “What is real?” It seems that in the coming era of virtual reality, this question will be one we will often ask ourselves.
