(Your) time is (in)valuable
One day is 86,400 times 9,192,631,770 periods of radiation from the caesium atom. That is, 24 hours is a really long time but we spend much of it on useless stuff, especially on internet. Ever wondered how much time of one day you spend on internet?
Here is a pie chart showing how we generally spend one day:
You know what? The pie is a lie. This is a more realistic pie chart:
We spend our time on Internet during work, with our family and even before going to bed. We sleep less, work less, spend time with family less. We spend more time on internet we estimated. In the 1,063,858,250+ websites, a huge pile of information out there and we spend too much time to find noteworthy content.
Reluctant to say, we all do that. We tend to deviate from our main purposes. While researching something about our work or a homework, we find ourselves watching cat videos, commenting to a reddit post or tagging a friend on Facebook.
So, there should be a solution. I always wished there was a product that presents a noteworthy content and helped me to save time on the internet.
As an analogy:
Medium says this is a 2 min article and you already learned
- What is scientific representation of a second
- The internet meme from Portal video game
- How many websites out there in the world
- There is a product being developed that aims to serve a quality content and to prevent you from wasting time on the Internet
