Coffee & Code: Designers vs. Developers
This past Sunday we hosted the second Coffee & Code at The Lab! Coffee & Code, inspired by an alumni, is designed as a chance for HackerYou grads from all programs to get together, make connections, work on projects, and hang out with other engaged, and inspiring developers. This month, we had two grads from the Part-Time HTML & CSS program: Emma Jenkin (Beacon Design) and Felix Lau (Creative Reflex) lead the event. Originally designers, both are now working as both designers AND developers. They broached the topic of bridging the gap between the two fields.
The following post was written by Emma Jenkin (Beacon Design), Felix Lau (Creative Reflex), Bianca DiPietro (Designed by Bianca), and presented for Coffee & Code on July 6, 2014.
No matter what side of the divide you call home, it’s key to speak both languages.
