In the week since the attacks at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, I want to take a moment to reflect on what it means to foster safe and inclusive spaces, and why these values are at the core of the HackerYou community.

The diversity of our staff and students is one of our greatest strengths. Not only during Pride Month, but every day of the year, we strive to create an environment where everyone who comes through our doors feels safe, supported, and free to be themselves, and to create projects using new and exciting technology that expresses who they are. We’re always working hard and challenging ourselves to create the kind of environment where everyone feels welcome, and we always will. This is absolutely core for us at HackerYou.

To our friends and colleagues in the queer community: we see you, we hear you, and we’re here for you.
