Our experience in Alexa workshop @KGiSL

On 12th of July,we participated in Alexa workshop which was conducted by Amazon in KGISL institute of technology.The One day workshop was very useful to us, and they explained what is Alexa skills and what can we do with it.

In the morning session they thought us how to develop a Alexa skill in the Alexa website and how we can earn money with it.And in the afternoon session,the instructor conducted a event in which we were asked to present our best idea for Alexa skill.

Our team thought of a better idea which was not in the Alexa market yet.Our Idea was to create a skill which finds the “English Fluency” of the user.The Alexa makes the user to speak in about 100 words,and at the end of the test it finds the errors in the speech and gives a score to the user, saying “your score is 9.0 which is better than the last time”.

User : Myself i am Sandeep and i am coming from Kerala.

Alexa : You made a mistake in your first sentence “Myself i am Sandeep”. The correct way to say it is “I am Sandeep”.

Wow, i was very excited with Alexa of its capabilities and how it can start a revolution in the industry.

Now i am looking forward to create more Alexa skills and publish it in amazon market.
