Parenting style matters when we talk about Cyberbullying: Parents who are anxious and emotional can impact their children’s violent video game play.

According to this research warm and restrictive parents successfully limited children’s play. However, anxious parents had the opposite effect.

The reason?
According to this study, if parents are more anxious, their message is not as well received by their children and it inhibits what they’re trying to do.

The results also suggest that while teenagers are very sensitive about their peers, there is still room for the Parents.

That is, we can talk about 3 parenting style (dimensions):
- warm
- restrictive
- anxious-emotional

So, if parents want to reduce the amount of violent video games that their kids play, be warm when dealing with them, but somewhat restrictive at the same time, and set rules and those rules will work.
