Think it! Pitch it !!!

In these tough times of Lockdown, we all were making efforts to make more out of time by trying new things, revoking our artistic side, and developing skills. Amidst this, we got the mail from the university about HackRx Hackathon 2020 by HealthRx. While we were going through it, our eyes stuck on the problem statement of Calorie intake recommendation and tracking. Thoughts were there that are we devoting much time to our health and wellness? Is our hectic work life leaving us no time to be educated and informed about our diet? Are we having the proper intake of necessary nutrients? And so on, the questions went on compiling.
That’s where we believed in making our skills go into a test and our thoughts into action by entering into the hackathon as Team HackOverflow with Team Member as Deepak Jain and Kirti Sharma.
After the registration, the HackRx Team organized a webinar for us to be comfortable with the hackathon rules, regulations, and expectations. We were also glad to have a word with the Team at HealthRx. Subsequently, getting selected in one of the 32 teams in the first round of HackRx, we were delighted and geared up to have the 24-hour challenging round.
Before onboarding to the hackathon, the team at HealthRx was there to clear our doubts through an interactive doubt-clearing session, as well as instructed us with GitHub and Slack Channels.
We were having our summer internship going on, so we thought it would not be easy to manage our participation in the hackathon. But we can’t thank less to team HealthRx for helping us throughout any hurdles that we faced. The team of HealthRx was just a call away for helping us. We were grateful to have their constant backing during the hackathon.
When the 24-hour hackathon started, we got Mr Prateek Maheshwari and Ms Akanksha Saini as our mentors. We were obliged to have interaction and share of ideas with these great people. Prateek sir was available full time to supervise us with technical improvisations and help with debugging technical bugs while our prototype was under construction. With the direction of Akanksha Ma’am, we understood the concepts of making the product professional fit and user friendly at the same time. These wonderful mentors helped us at each stage of the hackathon.
Amidst all this work, Team HackRx set up a fun game for us to refresh our mood and let us enjoy a break with the work, which reflected the importance of rest in a hectic schedule.
When we got selected of the finale with eight other teams, we were excited and nervous too, but the hospitality our mentors offered assisted us to remain strong and confident.
The stage to the finale was all set with fierce competitors and a fantastic judging panel. All nine teams showcased their imagination and skills through the prototype of their pitch models. We can’t agree less that each group was up to the mark. We presented the solution to the problem statement we chose at our best when it came to our chance. We were glad to share our views and perspective with the people at HealthRx.
And soon came the results!
We were rejoicing in the happiness when we came to know that we won the hackathon at 3rd position. We expressed our gratitude to the most amazing mentors for being our constant support during all the complexities.
Nevertheless, we thank HealthRx for the fabulous opportunity of showcasing our skills and imagination, and also for their warm companionship throughout and after the hackathon as well.
