An Apple II Version of Portal

If you like Portal, but have lamented that it’s not available for everyone’s favorite retro computer, the Apple II, now it is thanks to Vince Weaver, an assistant professor at the University of Maine’s ECE department.

As seen in the video below, Weaver apparently did not write this game, but instead used his time machine to travel back to 1987, where he retrieved the game from an alternate universe, bringing it back for all of us to enjoy.

The game is available from Weaver’s website, and if you don’t have the requisite hardware to run it, you can always use an emulator like this one. Gameplay starts in the video at around 2:00 in the video, and if you’d like to see the hero make several mistakes, just go to 7:30.
