Gathering the Many Pieces of Me

A brief reflection on the nature of the self

As I reflect on the many parts of myself, I sometimes wonder if they will add up to something.

I feel like sand at the beach. The effort to gather sand and hold it together sometimes feels pointless. Will all of those tiny particles, when pressed together, produce something beautiful, worthy to behold?

Hageon draws from the Greek word for “holy” and “sanctuary.” It is devoted to writing that opens the heart and mind to divine truth. It focuses on the promises and pitfalls of a spiritual path, and how to navigate them with wisdom and grace.
