Day 16 Grateful: Haibun Journey — View from my Window
The afternoon sky is a slate blue, the last working solar light flickers in the garden. I search the sky for signs of the impending snowstorm which I am in doubt of. Fluffed starlings decorate the naked tree boughs and a crow sits below. Searching and waiting… how much of life do we spend this way. We wait for spring, we wait for birthdays, Christmas’s and holidays. Yet each day is it’s own precious gift. The crow makes me laugh, for no reason and I am grateful just to be.
