Day 204 –Beauty- Haibun Journey View From My Window
It’s been very chilly all day, yet the late afternoon is a flutter of activity. We are again heading the long trek to pick up our daughter so I have had the pleasure of very scenic views. Birds are everywhere. I see a beautiful hill side with eight horses grazing.

Next I see about an acre of yellow flowering plants. They cover one front lawn and several fields along the way. They are probably a weed but make a spectacular showing mixed between fields of green. I see a large bird of prey siting on the guardrail, unfurling his wings and then folding them back. The late afternoon sun has come out and the sky is beautifully lit. The rays are streaming down in a curtain reaching the ground. The play of light and beautiful colors gives a feeling of reference, almost like being in church.

I also spy a field of behind some trees filled with large golden yellowish orange flowers swaying in the breeze. The sides of the road before we reach the city are covered with large white daisies.
On the way home we spot two sand colored fawns grazing. As the sun sets I see a new crescent moon in the periwinkle sky shining above a pink and orange horizon.
