Day 246 –Thunder Moon- Haibun Journey View From My Window

From my window I see the full moon hiding in the maple tree. Tonight is the 1st of this July’s two full moons. The full moon in July is known as the buck moon because it is the time the bucks are getting their antlers. It is also known as the thunder moon. During hot summer days when winds barrel together in the oppressive afternoon they form thunderclouds that loom above and rain down to cool us off.
