Day 58 Fog — Haibun Journey View From My Window

Outside my window in the late evening, my son’s car sits in the driveway. Having arrived late last evening after a 14 hour drive. A fog has settled muting the trees to a soft grey, the way my mind feels now after a late night of preparation and a busy day celebrating with family. Not in a bad way, just a happy tiredness. Counting my blessings, day spent with church activities and family, children, lessons, singing, laughter, and games.

details a blurring
in the late evening
happiness lingers
