Oh, what a day…

A lackluster presentation, a repair work in the tracks, a journey slow to Amsterdam, a journey disastrous back to Eindhoven. Even while the day had a few highs (I finally played a gamble, in three different levels that too!), I couldn’t help but focus on the “journey disastrous” part, given how a good 80-minute journey took just 210 minutes.

Fighting the torrent,

The lone tree stands resolute.

Bent, yet not broken.

It ties in nicely with a conversation I was having with a friend today, but there are quite a few times when the circumstance does become dangerously close to overwhelming, and I would end up going down rabbit holes best left untouched.

But whenever that happens, I would still try to focus on what I can do — Especially in life where events are such that my self-worth comes to being questioned by none other than myself, as you pile up more and more negative news, it goes kaput — Try new things.

I try the bow, the kick, the word, the tech, just about anything to rediscover that “I can do this” sensation, the confidence booster I deserve.

Bent, yes, but not broken.
