Will you love me more,

Mom? a silent voice pleaded;

Child in me and mine.

***

P.S: I wrote this poem on Mother’s day when I was pondering about the miracle that is, mom’s love and how significant it is in the lives of children. A famous writer Antoine De Saint-Exupery writes, ‘All grown-ups were once children — although few of them remember it’. And whenever the child in me talks to me, I realize how much I cherish my mom’s love. Also as a mom myself, it’s miraculous to hear my own child speak the same language of love. ❤
