A haiku for Sherry Kappel’s Haiku This! prompt “Cradle”

Mrs. Carolina Wren lived in a shoe…stop me if you’ve heard this one! Summer 2016 on Betta Tryptophan’s porch.

A man’s shoe becomes

A snug temporary home —

Little birds’ cradle.

Taken a little while after the top picture, Summer 2016, Betta’s porch.
One of the young birds upon its graduation to independence, yet later still in that Summer of 2016, just next to Betta’s porch.
