My view this morning — blue, cloudless skies and summer sun, the plane trees thick and green.

Two sick, cramped space; he
sleeps; I bake in sun — waiting
on the doctor’s call.

Well, the rains came on Sunday, the smoke haze cleared — and today I was treated to cloudless skies, summer sun and endless blue. That’s how it looked on the outside. Inside, we’re both hemmed in, still…
