Cover your sins with
The stars and stripes around you
For you have no shame

You point your fingers
As you lie and cheat and steal
Yet sheep still swallow

Vomit flies on tweets
The stench of hypocrisy
Fills every pore

Lush dew covered fields
Glisten like your blood diamonds
Verdant corruption

The jets never rise
And the slaughter continues
You can bet on it

A collection of haikus you will never find anywhere… enlightenment now/then chop wood and carry water/we have no patience. This is a 100 haiku challenge for me, but others are welcome to add their warped take on this classic form of poetry.
