Hair Transplantation Method We Use: Fullicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is the most efficient method for hair falls or losses that may be caused by many different reasons such as

What is the FUE & How is Procedure Works?
FUE technique is successfully applying since the 2000’s is name of the procedure during which hair follicles are collected one by one from a part of the body where there is healthy hair (donor area) and, transferred to the area with the lack of hair in accordance with the hair growing direction and the hair line.
FUE method is carried out by collecting the hair follicles from the donor area, which is generally the back of the neck by means of micro motors and, then transferred to the area, where they are to be transplanted is one of the mostly preferred method for hair transplant.
Compared to the FUT method, where the hair follicles are removed in the form of a strip and transferred to the transplant area which cause a scar on the skin, and thus which is not preferred, there is no surgical intervention that may result in incisions or scars when using the FUE technique for hair transplant.
This technique called FUE defined as a method without pain since it is performed under local anesthesia may be carried out with or without shaving the head.
What are the Patient’s Responsibilites After Hair Transplant Operation
During the first week, the patient should avoid;
- Heavy work
- Stress,
- Eports,
- Excessive excitement,
- Sexual intercourse,
- Smoking and alcohol which could increase the blood circulation,
- Protect their heads from any trauma
- Not use accessories such as hats, berets etc.
After the hair transplant procedure, the area where the hair is transplanted should be kept open without dressing in order to facilitate the skin to form scabs.
It takes about a few days after the operation for these scabs to disappear, while it takes up to one week for the scabs on the area, where the hair is transplanted.
During the first week of the recovery period, these scabs on the transplantation area could look like scotches.
This look will disappear when the scabs start to remove during a period of about 10 to 15 days.
Stage 1 — Local Anesthesia & Extraction of Hair Follicles
After the detection of the areas where the hair follicles are to be collected and transplanted, the donor area are anesthetized by means of micro needles or special pens.
After this anesthesia that takes about 2 to 4 minutes, the hair follicles are collected from the donor area using the FUE micro motors in the groups each with one, two or multiple follicles together with the tissues thereof.
The hair follicles collected are counted and, placed into special solutions to make them ready for transplant. It takes about 1 to 3 hours to complete this stage.
Stage 2- Opening Grooves for Transplant
The materials to be used during the FUE hair transplant are identified according to the thickness, number and length of the hair follicles collected from the donor area.
Grooves are opened on the area, where the hair follicles collected to be transplanted.
It takes about 45 to 90 minutes to complete this stage.
Stage 3 — Transplant Procedure
After a short break, the hair transplant procedure starts at this stage.
The hair follicles collected from the donor area are taken from the solutions and, transplanted into the grooves on the area defined for the hair transplant.
After the completion of this procedure, a PRP procedure is applied on the patient (a procedure that feeds the skin and, takes an important part for the recovery).
It takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete this stage.
To avoid any infection on the respective area after the operation and facilitate the recovery period, a dressing is applied on the transplant area to cover it on the day after.
