Rustic, retro, trendy… They all refer to Hippie perm.
Hippie perm, the retro style, is back thanks to the trend of New-tro (New+Retro) in Korea. It’s become a mega trend that lasts for several seasons.
1. Korean female entertainers’ retro style
Hippie perm didn’t suddenly come back to the trend one day. In early 2020, when it was still recognized as an “old style” by the public, female celebrities began to appear with Hippie perm in media and pictorials little by little. Like Jung Yu-mi from <Youn’s Kitchen 2>.

6. Rose perm
Rose perm is Hippie perm that looks like the curls are loosened. It is calm and less disheveled. It is a good style to create an elegant atmosphere.
7. Rain perm
Rain perm is a style that’s more loosened than Rose perm. It feels like a soft curl after braiding hair. It is a style that can reduce the disheveled feeling while maintaining the Bohemian mood.
