On July 28th, the Haive team participated in OTEC 2019 (Overseas Talent and Entrepreneurship Conference 2019), an international meetup for startup companies.
We announced our current position and potential for growth in the global language learning market, and introduced our growth driver alongside our app’s unique features at the conference. It was encouraging to see foreign and Chinese investing institutions showing great interest in Haive. At the same time, it was exciting to meet app users who are interested in language learning and receive their feedback face-to-face.
OTEC is a large-scale event for startups co-hosted by the Chaoyang Government of China, Chaoyang Overseas Scholars Entrepreneurship Conference and other organizations. More than one hundred parties invested in startups including domestic and overseas startup companies, global venture capitalists, major corporations, and overseas expansion investment institutions gathered in one place to attend various programs such as panel discussions and investment consultation.
Haive is in the closed beta testing stage, but we succeeded in demonstrating the app for the expats attending the conference and converting a large number of the audience into initials users of the app. We think Haive’s core idea of “a shared economy of language talents” was proven again through this event. The enthusiastic reactions we received from the people visiting our booth made the day meaningful and fruitful for all of us, project managers and developers alike.
The global language sharing platform Haive is currently in development with the goal of full release in early September.
