9 Important Health Numbers You Should Know

There are numbers in life you just need to know, your date of birth, next of kin’s phone number, your bank account number.
At a certain age, you become responsible for your life and how it pans out, you take ownership of certain things.
In health as well, there are certain health numbers you should know about your body. The most basic are your age, height, weight and some other important ones that could help you gauge your health status every once in a while.
Some of these numbers you can ask when you present for a health check up or continue reading to find out how to calculate this personally.
1. Body Mass Index (BMI)
While it’s certainly not the best measure of health, it is a starting point.
Why Is this Important?: The BMI gives you a quick snapshot of your weight, it helps you to figure out if you might need to gain weight, lose weight or keep doing what you’ve been doing.
