Three Week Update

Decided to drop in for a quick update in list form, in just over three weeks I…

• Moved during a stormy weekend three hours away to a new city (Hi Portland!)
• Attended my first big networking event days later at Nike (Hi WomenWhoCode!)
• Same week, went to a knit group where I knew nobody but left with info to apply for a sponsored ticket from PuppetLabs for Portland Startup Weekend (PDXSW), and days later found I got one !
• Spent a very looooonnngg weekend at PDXSW working with a team to pitch an idea to help caregivers; a very tiring experience but met a lot of cool people
• Recognized a couple familiar faces from PDXSW attendees at a Code Oregon and Code Fellows Lab. Also where I was able to fix and move onto the functionality of an elevator pitch JavaScript page I’m working on. This will be useful for the Code Oregon job fair coming up in a couple weeks!
• And for this week, I have a video call tomorrow morning hopefully with some good news and then getting ready to go visit back home for Thanksgiving!

Those are the big points, but holy cow, in list form…that was a busy couple of weeks. Still have projects to complete in a short amount of time. *sigh* I guess I’m a workaholic (not a stranger to that really).
