Where do the minutes go? Exasperated, we often wonder. We are busy and fall short of expectations. Days, even years, may slip by. Let’s stop that now! Let’s thrive!

By having a Minute Mortality Mindset we are intentionally mindful of making the most of every minute before it passes away forever.

This is not a morbid way of thinking. Rather, the perspective responsibly acknowledges the reality of natural law — — we each have only so many minutes. We don’t know how many. Our next one could be our last one. We cannot earn more, save any, or reclaim those we wish we had spent differently. Yet, we are not powerless to be purposeful with each. Regardless of circumstances, we have the means to decide — -maybe not always what we actually do with every minute — -but the value that can be extracted from those minutes.

I have wasted at least 1,500,000 of my minutes over the past decade. One and a half million! Let that sink in. Ouch! I can waste more minutes in grief over those lost, but that accomplishes nothing. The last minute is now out of my hands. But, the next minute coming is the one I can impact in a manner I desire. Will it die a death sixty seconds from now that is a whimper, or will it go out with a BANG?

What are you going to do with your next minute?
May I suggest giving it away to the benefit of others by sharing this post? But, then the minute after that, be mindful of its mortality and make the most of it.

And, the minute after that.
And, the next…

If you find it difficult to do what I suggest, you may have pain or a problem standing in the way of you making the most of the purpose of every minute. For help, read this by Michael Ivanov.
