I’m sorry for missing last week. I was distracted by all the exciting Sundance news.

Here are the films opening this week that have a woman in a major decision-making creative role in the project (producer, director, writer, editor). I have listed the women in these roles on the film.

If you know of others films opening this weekend that fit the criteria that I missed, please share them with #halfthescreen.

American Folk (Producer: Fiona Walsh)

Maze Runner: The Death Cure (Producer: Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Lindsay Williams)

Please Stand By (Producer: Lara Alameddine)

The Insult (Producer: Julie Gayet, Nadia Turincev | Writer: Joelle Touma)
