Continuing our experiment to build a community of chess lovers — we have started building a passionate chess community in Delhi . We call it ‘Chess for Fun’ — so its more about fun and less about plain brutal end-games. I am a 1300 and I enjoy playing different, relatively ‘unknown’, chess variations over a tea or a beer.

To Join: you can fill up a form

We recently held a chess meetup in The Pint Room at Vasant Vihar for playing ‘the chess’ and some chess variations. The first meetup had 4 people, hardly a number; but it is the quality of time spent that counts.

Learnings from the meetup have prompted me to build a closer knit community for chess enthusiasts —and we have created an invite only chess group on whatsapp.

Would you consider joining?

You can get an invite by filling the form above.

I look forward to be your host on Whatsapp.

A short note on Halfchess — a chess variation for busy people with really short breaks.

Playing Halfchess is an easy way to improve your chess speed. You can play a game in the shortest of breaks ~ we are taking 2–3 mins here.
