Personality traits of Grandmasters
--
Most accomplished chess players would fall into the INTP or INTJ personality type.
INTP is the ‘Logician personality’ type. It is a rare personality types making up for 3 percent of the population. INTPs see more moves ahead on a chess board and are best at end-games.
INTJ is the ‘Architect personality’ type. It makes 2 percent of the population. INTJs prefer structure and game building and take an advantage position in the mid-game.
Magnus Carlsen is an INTP personality type. They love patterns, and spotting discrepancies between statements could almost be described as a hobby, making it a bad idea to lie to an INTP.
